FORCE MAJEURE
The management of Fourvière Hôtel Lyon understands force majeure to mean any event outside the control of the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, preventing the hotelier or the customer from performing all or part of their obligations under the contract. This is particularly the case in the event of a general strike involving means of transport (subject to presentation of proof), hotel staff, bad weather, riots and terrorist attacks, etc. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends the performance of the parties' mutual obligations. At the same time, each of the parties shall bear the cost of all expenses incurred as a result of the case of force majeure: consequently, travellers alone shall bear any additional costs that may be incurred to enable the trip to continue.
